Tortoise Not EatingA tortoise not eating can be a serious problem. Usually two causes are at fault: Incorrect Temperature or a Parasite.

CureFirst, I would try to correct your temperatures (if there is something wrong with them). Like mentioned in my Indoor Housing article, the temperature in your tortoise’s habitat should be about 90 degrees in the basking area and in the cooler area about in the mid/upper 70s. I would also soak your tortoise on a regular basis as an extra precaution.
If the problem still isn’t fixed, I would take your tortoise to a vet and get a parasite check done. A lack of eating is a very serious symptom of a parasite and can cause death if not treated.
